At ULS, we´re committed to the safety of our employees at all times. This dedication ultimately leads to the safety of the overall project and pipeline construction. We have a formal Safety Policy, which starts with the Director of Operations and continues through all levels of pipeline construction operations. Superintendents and Foremen are trained in OSHA 30 and 10 Hour Safety and Health and Hazard Recognition. Key employees are also trained in American Red Cross First-Aid, CPR, and how to use an Automatic Electric Defibulator (AED).
We actively practice and monitor safety on all projects. Daily “Tailgate” meetings are conducted to review potential hazards, daily activities, and bring any project issues to light. Each employee has the responsibility of ensuring their own and their co-workers safety during daily activities. Employee training based on tasks performed allows each employee to safely and professionally perform their duties.

We have qualified personnel in NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research), OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), First-Aid, CPR, and MEA (Midwest Energy Association). These combined qualifiers provide our staff with proficient construction experience. We are also a member of Veriforce and ISN (formally known as ISNetworld), both of which are regulatory compliance management companies, who list the qualifications of contractors that perform DOT (Department of Transportation) covered tasks.
